Bellafill is unique as dermal fillers go. It works differently than other, similar dermal fillers. Both Bellafill and Juvederm have a good reputation and people have been satisfied with both. Bellafill is the only dermal filler approved to treat acne scarring. Its longevity is its real strength, which is about 5 years. Bellafill is also very good for smile lines. Juvederm has not been approved for acne scars. It is more of a temporary filler, lasting from 9 months to 2 years. While it doesn’t last as long as Bellafill, it is very effective at treating deep wrinkles and creating volume in the lips, where Bellafill has not been approved for such use.

If you are looking to treat acne scars, expect one syringe to treat about 9 scars. If you want to treat more, it will need to be done about 8 weeks after your first injection. It isn’t recommended to inject more than one syringe at a time.
 
If you are looking to get something like an apple cheek look it can take 1 to 2 syringes per side, possibly more depending on what you want to achieve.
